New year is started and it’s finally time to draw up an accurate forecast of the spring/summer 2019 trends. It’s still winter but we know, the fashion system goes a season ahead so it is imperative to analyze all the trends that will accompany us during most of 2019.
-I studied with great attention all the looks that have appeared on the catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris during the last autumn and I have selected those that will become the spring/summer 2019 trends.-
SPRING/SUMMER TRENDS 2019
As I anticipated, taking a look at the fashion shows of the most renowned fashion houses, I noticed some details, fabrics, accessories and nuances that have been repeated countless times and that will consequently be fully part of the 2019 spring/summer trends.
Here are the trends that you can not give up during the next spring season:
Snakeskin print
The city looks like an urban jungle thanks to the snakeskin print that will be confirmed as a must have also during the spring/summer season. Whether it’s a total snake look or mixed with nude or neon nuances, the snakeskin print will accompany you throughout the whole season.
Leather all over
Not only accessories but also trench coats, blazers, shirts, suits, dresses, trousers and so on will be entirely made of leather – or fake leather – to give the look a bold and rock touch suitable for self-confident and strong women.
Sequins day and night
Sequins and lame fabrics will brighten up our looks both morning and night, played down with t-shirts and sneakers, and in the evening with a pair of heels. And if you don’t want to look like a 70s disco ball, then you can opt for a simple sparkling detail!
Satin and shiny fabrics
They won’t only be the sequins to brighten up our daily outfits, because there will also be fabrics like satin, silk and iridescent organza. First of all the coats and then the skirts will be rigorously shiny and reflective. Let’s forget about the satin like an “old-fashioned” fabric and let’s renew it by mixing it with denim or choosing it in shades like fuchsia, light blue and neon green.
Lime: the neon green return
A fresh and vibrant shade like lime can not miss in your wardrobe. In fact, since last autumn we have seen the return of the neon green that after a few years comes back with other neon shades. Do not combine it with other fluorescent garments to avoid the highlighter effect and mix it with black, white and warm shades!
Abundance of feathers
Waterfalls of light feathers, slightly burlesque and slightly romantic, adorn dresses, bags, shoes and hats for a spectacular and sensual look. Just one small feathered detail, like a bag or a pair of sandals, will allow you to get a retro allure.
It’s pvc time!
Transparent or colored, glossy or opaque, the PVC will be one of the most popular materials during the spring/summer 2019. The plastic will reveal the contents of the bags, your pedicure and, why not, your lingerie for a season without secrets that will leave you naked! The must have in PVC will be the trench coat that will accompany you during the interminable summer storms.
Cycling shorts
The cycling shorts, so loved and so hated, are reconfirmed as key piece even during the next season. Whether they are made of technical fabric, laminated or neon, the iconic garment of the ’90s will be rigorously worn under maxi blazers, sweatshirts and oversized shirts.
Tracksuit
Tracksuits with buttons and large pockets in earthy tones or in technicolor version will give you a touch of practical and self-confident woman. Tighten these maxi suits with belts and match them with a pair of high-heeled shoes for a very sexy result.
Mask sunglasses
The mask sunglasses that evoke the 2000s are back in the limelight. Their both futuristic and sporty silhouette cover part of the face and they are suitable for both casual or chic looks. Wear them with basic coats and blazers or with tulle dresses to play down the bon ton style.
Now let me know which is your favorite spring/summer 2019 trend!
